Cute collection of side adventures that don't impact the plot of the show. It was fun to see how the characters ended up in some of the situations they found themselves in at the beginning of the show episodes. Of course that means there's no character development or important plot happening here.

I'm not really a big comic or manga reader, but there really is something charming and kind of beautiful about Over the Garden Wall. I appreciate the mysterious aspect of it coupled with the witty and jolting funny lines.

This is such a great addition to the show. It fits in perfectly with the story and the tone. I loved seeing the story of the woodsman and his daughter.

This Special contains the first five Over the Garden Wall comics, and I'm so glad I ordered this as well as reading the individual comics, because there were little extras I didn't get with the individuals!
Such as alternate covers, a whole chapter I (somehow??) skipped, and sheet music for selected music from the show.
I don't have much else to say about this that I haven't covered in the individual comics, except that of course, this is the best series of graphic novels I have ever read! I can't wait to read more.
Oh! However . . . there is a very disappointing hinted fatphobia in the first comic that blew a lot of the excited wind from my sails. A very plump character always had some piece of food in his hands every panel, no matter where he was or what he was doing. It wasn't funny, and as I said, it was just very . . . disappointing.

I think this one is my favourite so far. I missed Beatrice and Wirts banter in some of the others.

I admit it, I'm on a comics binge. This was so adorable, like the show, and a super short read. In this issue Wirt, Greg, and Beatrice are on their way to find Adelaide when they come across a gang of soldiers driving a giant hat ship, Wirt is lost in his head, Greg can't do anything right, and Beatrice is pretty close to murdering her travel companions to save her own sanity. So everything's status quo!
I'd be interested in the rest of the series, whenever they fall into my lap.
