I have been giving 5 stars for all the volumes in this book primarily because I'm mesmerized by the art. Also, I'm mesmerized by Lord Marie-Joseph Sanson. And I utterly hate Charles Henri - what a fall from grace. So unfortunate, I loved him in the beginning of this series. But he's just another man who holds on to traditions because it suits him, what bullshit.
Also I'm rating this 5 stars because I know there is a sequel and I would like to think of this volume as a setup to what is coming and not as a volume of its own - because otherwise it's just not well-paced. At all.

Go, MARIE!

I’m adding only this volume even tho I read the whole manga in the last two weeks or so (because my challenge looks like a mess). Anyway this manga in completely nuts in many ways and I’m not sure I actually enjoyed the story (there’s...just a lot of things that require some time to be properly digested I guess) but the art is INSANE. The panels and how Sakamoto doesn’t use onomatopoeia (which is pretty atypical in a medium like manga), the attention to detail...unparalleled.
