Reread this with my SO, and it reminded me that I need to read more Brian Keene ASAP!
If you're up for a very dark (no pun intended) and bleak story, this is the read for you. Darkness on the Edge of Town takes place in the town of Walden. Residents of the town are shaken when they wake in the morning to find that the town has been engulfed in -- you guessed it! -- darkness. The sun is suspiciously absent and surrounding the town is a wall of even deeper darkness that seems to swallow everyone who enters it. And with no contact or sign of rescue from the outside world, the residents of Walden begin their descent into madness...
This book was such a scary read! I don't really get scared by supernatural stories, but stories of humans doing crazy shit will never fail to terrify me. Would recommend this read to those who enjoy cosmic horror and also find that people are the scariest monsters of all...
