Probably the worst Agatha Christie book I’ve read. Verging on propaganda, kind of boring, and more predictable than her others. All the dialogue about the Cold War is very stiff and awkward. Lame villains, directionless plot, not to mention a very dubious start- guy follows a suicidal woman around and then convinces her to become a spy? And if that wasn’t enough, the random black face at the end, on top of all the other horrible characterizations of Africans. Huuuge miss

While the ending felt very rushed, and the style of writiNg wasn’t always to my taste, the mystery itself was compelling and engaging enough to read on.

I can't ask for more.

Banyak tanda seru, kayak semua orang ngomongnya teriak - teriak XD.

Destination Unknown ini stand alone, kayak Death Comes as the End atau And Then There Were None. Seperti yang gue bilang, ceritanya biasa aja kalau mau dibandingkan sama And Then There Were None.

This reading experience was definitely something different than you classical Christie murder mystery. It is much more a spy thriller with a twist. This made it quite hard for me to get through, asd I am not a big fan of reading spy novels. Some of the aspects of the novels seemed a bit over the top for me. However, strong female characters are one of Christie's strong suits and here, with Hilary Craven, Christie created another one of these interesting female main characters. It made the reading experience much more pleasant for me to be able to follow her around and see what will happen. The ending then saved a lot for me - it felt like your typical Christie again and it also turned out positive for Hilary.
