I really enjoyed this story, set in a futuristic dystopian Edinburgh. Adam-2 is an AI robot who has been locked in a basement whilst the war between humans and AI rages and devastates the city. After 200 years he is set free by chance, and finds he is a valuable asset to both sides in the war. He holds the key to ending the war, if only he can persuade both sides to lay down their weapons and collaborate. A great read!

I worried about reading this book mainly because Linden was not very empathetic. On the other hand, I really liked Adam and felt bad about his situation, his programming. Runa was a lovely character as well.

And while this wasn't Orion Lost, which had been impossibly good, Adam-2 managed to come into its own and finished comfortably at a 4

An enjoyable and quick read! And I appreciated the slightly more realistic ending - meaning, not tying up every single thing by the last page. Definitely felt like wondla at the beginning, which I desperately need to reread! And now I *really* need to read Orion lost 😅
