I really liked how I was kept guessing as to her was behind the kidnapping and I tell you a changed my mind a few times. Adding Mickey into the mix while Asher and Ryker try and work the case meant some frighting times, good laughs and worry from everyone as well as tension in regards to trying to track the twins and between Asher and Mickey due to their past (talk about awkward!). A great second chance, action and adventure read with hot SEALs and kick ass women you can't go wrong!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Another exciting book in this series. Men and women on missions to solve a mystery or rescue a victim. Each story stands alone but intertwines, you'll want to read them all to see where this series is going. Towards the end my head was spinning trying to work out who the bad guys were in this plot. The author tied up the loose ends flawlessly.
Great book, I loved it.

Ridiculous and so convoluted. No real resolution. And the dialogue was so odd.

This is book 5 in The Mavericks series and it features Asher and Mickey. It’s been 10 years since they were together. She broke it off because she didn’t feel worthy of him. Obviously she had some issues that needed to be worked out. Now, she is the nurse/caretaker of two autistic women who have been kidnapped. Asher and Ryker have been sent to find them. The family they are working for are some extremely scandalous people! I felt a connection between Asher and Mickey but it wasn’t flirty or romantic. It was more like two people who used to know each other but now were not sure how they would be received by the other. It’s a thin line between love and hate.

The action and adventure were top notch! The mystery and suspense is fantastic throughout this entire series! I would have liked a little flirting or SOMETHING between Asher and Mickey but at the same time I love how the majority of the romance doesn’t take place until the mystery is solved or close to it. I’m looking forward to Ryker’s book next!
