This book is jam-packed with amazing interviews and thoughtful perspectives on the entirety of the Apollo program, looking at the human element at each step. I deeply enjoyed this book, especially as it spent most of its focus not on the luminaries at the top, but on the everyday people who worked their hearts off (and in some cases, literally worked themselves to death) to make the moon landings a reality.

This book also includes an epilogue written 14 years later that gives some interesting "here they are now" insights into the main characters from the original book contents; while obviously out of date today, it was interesting to read how life moved on for so many.

In any case, if you're a history buff, space buff, or just like well told, captivating tales of real humans, doing superhuman things -- check out this book. I highly recommend it.
