This book was very sweet. For years I've often lamented that all the books about growing up or everyday life as a kid (think Ramona, Junie B Jones, etc.) were about going to school. I wished for something similar for children who were homeschooled. Now finally there is! Hanna is a 7 year old girl who is homeschooled, and she lives with her parents and Grandmother. This book deals with everyday things that many homeschooled children can relate to - trying to make friends with public schooled neighborhood kids, going to a homeschool co-op, wondering what grade you are in, etc.

Overall, I thought it was a lovely book, and it held my 7 year old's attention (no small feat!). I hope that she'll come out with more Hanna books in the future.
