Die Reihe ist ganz cool aber jetzt nicht DIE Buchempfehlung die ich jemandem mitgeben würde - außer die Person mag gerne Marvel und co!

I knew I was headed for heartbreak within the first 100 pages. This is my 4th Schwab book, and I'm pretty sure I will be reading the entire catalog. The conclusion of this duet of books is devastating 😭

This book was very excellent. It is high stakes excitement all the way through and the characters develop well in this book. The new monster in town, and knowing that Kate is infected with it will leave you filled with nervous excitement about what comes next. Very interesting, the ending is sad but also good. It has a lot of good lines about what truly makes a 'monster' and what makes us good.

I wasn't that into it compared to the first book, but that doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy it.

Spoiler You didn't have to do Isla like that, but of course, it had to be done. Also the last page confused me, though maybe that's just me.

The last couple of chapters went by really fast, it all felt that the rest of the buildup could have been made shorter to make the ending longer and gain more traction and tension... then again it is 1am and I was eager to finish it, but that's not the point.

That's it, I don't really have anything else to say. If there are things, which I'm sure there are, I can't think of them right now.

I’m heartbroken because of the last few chapters but I love this book all the same!
