It’s fun! It’s cute and it’s fun and I don’t understand the hate it’s getting. Will it win literary prizes? No. Does that matter? Also no. I don’t read many rom coms but this was a light road stop on what is otherwise a series of heavier and darker books. No regrets.

Read this after reading the love hypothesis (Smartass and Shortcake need to meet). It's fast paced and really good. Loved it.
The only thing I hated was "the MUSCULAR giant with the shorty squirrel" trope. Also "I use the walls as mirrors" said at the beginning of each chapter. Felt like hurling the book at that point but I wanted them to fall in love so no :p

*Spoilers*
I loved the tension between them and the jealouy episodes. Even when the first kiss happens soo quickly, this book manages to be just as tensed. The wedding, family issues and Josh's shyness beneath the "being mean facade" are written really well.

My favorite scene is the one where Lucy drives in the rain and he's on the passenger side relaxing and not needing to take care of Lucy. This scene is such a breath of fresh air. Really loved it.

And of course, Lucy standing up to Josh's father protecting Josh. Freaking Lioness. I ADOREE her. It's soo well written.

And I LOVE Lara Croft.

Finally read this book which is also one of my anticipated reads of last year.

The writing is definitely good, I enjoyed how smooth and at the same time engaging it was most of the times.

Aside from the writing, I enjoyed the character writing as well, Lucy’s voice was definitely fun to get to. The dialogue as well which were both hilarious and at the same almost addicting, the banter really was fun.
As for Josh, he was definitely intriguing and swoon worthy.

Another thing that I enjoyed is the whole setting of the story, I think it’s one of my fave setting now, which is in the publishing industry or anything related to this subject.

Also I hate Josh’s father, he’s an ass.

As much as I wanted to love it, I just felt that the last few chapters were anticlimactic, I think it really didn’t resonated on me that much.

Overall it was a good read, I’m definitely looking forward on seeing the movie soon.
