Another solid entry to the 'Zom-B' series.

A lot of interesting ideas explored in a fairly intriguing plot. I'd like to see those ideas fleshed out more but there's only so much in a 200 page YA novel Shan can do. And he's trying to do a lot in this latter half of the series.

There's a lot of cool reveals in this particular one. Really looking forward to getting to 'Goddess'.

TOTALLY CALLED IT. (No, not that twist, though I'm not especially surprised. The final one.)

This series continues to surprise me with the directions it takes.

"We do what we think is right. After that, we can only pray that we choose the correct path, and hope our maker will forgive us if we err."

WOW. Finally. finally some huge huge answers are delivered. We finally get some clarity on moments that seemed so confusing.
We also get some kick butt zombie moments, some interesting fighting....

and one more huge secret revealed. I must admit I didn't see it coming. I can't wait for the next one!

So even though I guessed the ending a few chapters before it happened, this one really gets you going.

On a spoiler side note, Rage needs to get smacked with a club.

I wanted more with the zombie dog! Lol.

It took me a bit to get into what was happening at the beginning of this. A more direct recap would have been nice. Just B's last 24 hours prior. Crazy start! Ugh the more I learn of DanDan the more I hate him. Yes, he is back in this one. Did you expect less? Ha! More truths are revealed and humans have to start deciding where on the spectrum the Angels stand. A shocker ending. This started with too much action, then tried to put me to sleep before picking up the pace again in the last chapter.

Man Darren Shan can really throw in some twists. I like this book the best out of all of them so far. In this book, you learn more on the background of Owl Man, Mr. Dowling, and Dr. Oystein which allows the series to make more sense. I'm kind of ready for the series to be done though because I just want it to all wrap-up. It's always like the books are heading in the right direction when BAM a twist comes up and the situation gets worse again. Right now Dan-Dan has come back (UGH) and Rage decides to switch sides (well who wasn't expecting that?). B almost gets her chance to end Dan-Dan's life when who pops in the picture... Her freaking dad and that is how it ends... I'm ready to be done with this series already though.
