The story of Betty Robinson who became an amazing runner who won gold in the 1928 Olympics. Then, after having her left leg crushed in an accident, she relearns to walk and run and then participates in the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, winning another gold medal in the relay. An inspiring story about hard work and determination against all odds.

Needed additional text to connect some dots. First Female Gold Medalist makes it sounds as if she was competing against men, I think. When really she won the first ever women’s Olympic track & field race, I believe. I’m too lazy to look it up. I’m not an Olympics fan. I’d rather be reading.
