Sigh... I really wanted to like this. I tried, I really did. This story contains TWO of my least favorite tropes. Miscommunication and pregnancy for the sake of pregnancy. You have to be careful with pregnancy tropes, or they just end up feeling cheap. It somehow left me feeling like nothing really happened, while there was simultaneously too much going on. I'm starting to gather that I am not a fan of insta-love. I can suspend reality for a lot of different story worlds, but apparently insta-love is my hard limit. It feels more fantastical to me than dragons.
I struggled a bit with the dialog in this one, too. Particularly in the spicy scenes. It read with a heavy air of fanfiction. I did not feel connected to any of the characters. For the most part, they were all very two-dimensional. The only time that I found myself emotionally moved was during a few scenes where one of our MMCs was faced with his abandonment issues.
I did find our FMC's sister a nice comic relief. If I decide to move on to the second book, I hope to see more of her character.
Would I read this book again? No. Did I dislike it beyond redemption? Also, no. This was my first experience with this particular author, so I feel that I need to read more of their work before making final judgments on whether our writing style/reading preferences come into alignment.

Probably my least favorite by MM. The spicy scenes and narrators were good.
