I loved all the different perspectives in the book, although it made it hard to follow who was who at points.

This is such a great book to explain and understand poly relationships!

CW: References to assault, infertility, graphic sexual content, cheating, violence, religious bigotry, internalised biphobia, homophones, parental death, marriage in trouble

๐Ÿ‘ซ + ๐Ÿ‘ฌ +๐Ÿงโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ซ

๐ŸŒŸ Forced Proximity
 ๐ŸŒŸ Marriage in Trouble

๐ŸŒˆ Polyamory
 ๐ŸŒˆ Bi MMCs

๐ŸŒถ Threesome
 ๐ŸŒถ Double the fun
 ๐ŸŒถ Submission/Dominance scenes

So infidelity and infertility are my main triggers. This just showcases the trust I put in SC the fact that I just ignored those warnings and just went for it anyway ๐Ÿคฃ

First and foremost, I wouldn't necessarily let the infidelity immediately turn you off completely reading this. It's done in a certain type of way that it works with all the relationship dynamics at play in the beginning of the book. So yeah, trust the process if you can.

I loved this book. It has the perfect balance of heat and heart that I've come to expect from Sara Cate, where neither overpowers the other and work in harmony with one another, blossoming together throughout the course of her stories.

The Home Wrecker combines heartbreaking elements such as infertility, internalised biphobia, religious trauma, and loss and the beginnings of a new relationship to, not "fix" these things, but to allow the three to work together symbiotically to help heal and support one another.

Polyamory can be done badly, and I have definitely read bad polyamory. But this was a great example of how it's written into a story well. Communication, boundaries, open and frank discussions.

I wondered how it was going to be handled with Briar and Caleb already having a child in the picture, but I loved a particular scene with Briar discussing how relationships look with their daughter and it made me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Will this make you cry here and there? Probably. Will you be swooning? Probably. Will you be sweating over it? More than likely.

Sara did it again! Made a super horny book that also made me cry! ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜‚

Briar and Caleb have been together for over a decade, but since their daughter was born six years ago, sex has been reduced to a chore, as the intimacy of the act has been replaced by the โ€œneedโ€ to conceive again.

Enter, Dean, who is renting the apartment over the garage, and hates Caleb due to an incident many years ago. Jealousy and insecurity in our married coupleโ€™s relationship has these three tangled in a web, and then thereโ€™s what everyone else will thinkโ€ฆ

These three coming together was so hot, but also so sweet.

I definitely related to Briar, and I think anyone who has ever struggled with infertility will recognize a bit of themselves in the emotions and struggles she experiences, especially in the beginning.

Calebโ€™s journey was also so emotional, finally recognizing and accepting a part of himself that connected him with his baby brother, whom he hasnโ€™t seen since his brother ran away from home years ago.

And Dean was perfect for them, and their little family. Yes, yes, the bedroom stuff was ๐Ÿฅต, but his interactions with their daughter were so funny and real to me. Their scenes together were definitely a highlight for me.

I will say that things sort of escalated a little quickly in my opinion (cue me scrolling back to make sure I didnโ€™t skip aheadโ€ฆ) but I still loved the rest of the journey.

Thank you Sara Cate for providing me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!

This book is the next installment and introduction to the 2nd Goode brother, Caleb. Note that it's pretty important that you read The Anti-hero first. There are a lot of tie-ins and references. I was excited to read this but I wasn't sure exactly how I would feel about the on page cheating. I owe Sara Cate an apology for doubting her. This book is fantastic.

Caleb and Briar seem to always be walking uphill. They love each other, but there are always things blocking them from truly letting go and fully becoming who they want to be. Getting together in college was a fight, marrying and trying for a second child was a fight, Caleb's jerk of a dad continuing in their lives was a fight. They never could get "there."

Enter Dean, a friend (cough cough) of the estranged and youngest brother, Isaac. Dean is an escort at Adam and Sage's club and very VERY sure of himself and comfortable in his skin. Due to some difficult circumstances, Dean is offered the apartment on the property that Caleb and Briar own. He reluctantly accepts the gesture and it turns out to be the best thing to happen for all of them.

Dean helps Caleb and Briar to be more comfortable communicating with one another what they want and need. Somewhere in the mix of all of this, the 3 fall for each other and have to decide what is worth risking to be together.

There is so much in this book and it hits the spot perfectly.

Itโ€™s a Sara Cate book, of course Iโ€™m going to read it! This one I actually went into with a little hesitation because cheating is one of my least favorite tropes if not my least favorite, but I give everything a chance. This one was nothing like I expected. I mean it technically includes cheating, but I donโ€™t know if I would classify it as that. Whatever you want to call it, it was such an emotional and very spicy journey for these three characters and I enjoyed every minute of it. I loved how as much as the story was about the dynamic of all of our MCs together, each characterโ€™s individual journey and development was just as important. It upped the ante for all of the decisions that were made and what the impact of the outcomes would be. Ah I could probably write pages on this book, but Iโ€™ll just say this may be my new favorite Sara Cate book.
