My favourite Marvel hero these days. Live that this collected stories of her from other books and brought them all together. Now give me my damned movie already!!

3 stars.

This was an ok bind up.

I'm glad I finished this story arc but this wasn't my favorite.

The first bind up was great. I really enjoyed the story and the characters. Also in the second volume I really loved Chewie's story but after that, the story kind of go down hill.

SpoilerSince I am so new to Captain Marvel and Carol Danvers I had no idea who Tracy was or why she was so important to Carol. So when she died I wasn't all that invested. I am assuming she's in one of the other story arcs of Carol or Captain Marvel.

Unfortunately I won't be adding this story line to my collection but I'm still glad I read it.

Despite my 'meh' feeling on these last two volumes, I am really interested in reading more of Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel. So I borrowed the first two volumes of the story arc that came before this set of bind ups.

Like 4 or 4.5 stars for the writing and 0 stars for the artwork.

This volume was OK. I liked it because it's Carol.. but it was really lacking something and no cohesion. There wasn't really an arc to follow. It started off just kind of OK but then got interrupted by a Black Vortex issue that really had nothing to do with anything in this volume and confused things! The final story that brings Carol back to earth is pretty good and sad.. but I still don't really get who exactly Tracy is, how did she know her..

I love Carol.. but there isn't much to get excited about here.

Quite a bit of fun! The art by Dexter Soy was awesome, the rest not so much.

It pains me to give Captain Marvel two stars, but this volume was not very coherent. The biggest problem was the Black Vortex story stuck in the middle with pretty much no context and no follow up, it makes no sense in the context of this volume and wrecks any flow that it had going. Which admittedly was not much to begin with here. Things are clearly wrapping up for the whole volume, but it just feels too rushed.

The first several stories only make sense if you're a broader Marvel reader. I am not so it was like seeing action scenes at the climax of a movie with no context and no conclusion. The "continue the fight in so-and-so's adventure" is BULLSHIT. I feel awful for comic readers who've had to put up with it!

HOWEVER. I liked Tic's exit and the Return of Chewie.

And the last story where she returned home makes this 4 star worth it. AMAZING. That's a single issue I'd be happy to own.
