This introduced me to a lot of women who I never knew about. Learning about them and their role in history and life, it was nice reading up on the women who came from the state of Maryland.

A short but interesting compendium of wild women hailing from Maryland. The author writes in a tone that is professional, but more lively than your typical history text. I appreciate how she arranged the chapter by theme, defined 'wild' broadly, and was able to discuss morally ambiguous women (whether from the perspective of their day, from our modern historical perspective, due to the lack of well-rounded details, etc.) as people who were still interesting and history-makers.
