A short but interesting compendium of wild women hailing from Maryland. The author writes in a tone that is professional, but more lively than your typical history text. I appreciate how she arranged the chapter by theme, defined 'wild' broadly, and was able to discuss morally ambiguous women (whether from the perspective of their day, from our modern historical perspective, due to the lack of well-rounded details, etc.) as people who were still interesting and history-makers.
