TJR’s writing is a win every time. The woman knows how to write characters. Lauren was such a great character- flawed, honest, human. This is the story about a couple who have fallen out of love- with each other, their lives and honestly themselves. Their journey challenges what you think about what it means to live “happily ever after”, and what defines “success”. I couldn’t put it down.

What I loved most about this book was how realistic the breakdown of their marriage was — it’s not always a dramatic affair or physical abuse; it’s all the little things & life stresses that break so many relationships.

A bit of fluff. Nothing groundbreaking or particularly clever here. Comforting like a blanket.
