I would have given this 4 stars if not for the challenging beginning. I read at least one book by every author before a signing. I don't always finish, but I do try. I was actually about to give up on this story. I just wasn't feeling. And then it happened. I fell down the proverbially rabbit hole and didn't climb back out until I hit the end and could purchase book two.

Something happened within the pages. The characters became believable, addictive. I happily hated Alexander's father. What an AH!!!!! He definitely made the story interesting.

Such a good dark duet, I can’t wait to read the next book! Sara Jane and Alexander have a great storyline. They are destined to be together, but also can’t stop hurting each other. I’m hoping we see a time jump in the next book, but either way I can’t wait to see the growth!

Sara Jane is so strong and you can’t help but love her! She handles all the terrible stuff she goes through with strength and dignity and you can tell she’ll do wonderful by Alex’s side.

Alex has a few lessons to go through, but his growth will make the second book so good!

Oh my goodness!! Alex and Sara Jane are an intense couple, so deeply connected that you can feel their emotion and pull to each other. The story pulled me in, kept the pages turning and the secrets, twists and everything in between were great! There are moments that had me gasping, jaw on the floor, and angry for them. There are great emotions, ups and downs, and everything that makes this a great read from start to finish. My emotions are a roller coaster and I need the next book!

When I read this book back in 2017 I was immediately sucked into this story. This time around was no different!

Alexander life holds so many secrets and I loved going along the journey of him finding his person in Sara Jane, but also him trying to protect her from his world.

Sara Jane was so likable. I loved watching her go from being a naïve, inexperienced girl to ultimately a Queen. Her loyalty + love for Alexander was beyond measure.

The mystery and suspense, the twists and turns this story takes had me devouring it yet again.

Now I’m thrilled to get it in audio too! And this new cover!!😍

This was the first book in the Kingswood series, and the start of what looks like is gearing up to be epic love story.  Alexander Kingswood meets Sarah Jane Grayson, his firefly at university and it was love at first sight, the kind that songs are written.  It’ll either last a lifetime or they’ll crash and burn.  But where’s the fun if there isn’t any drama so to go with the romance there’s an emotional, angsty and steamy story full of secrets and betrayal, greed and passion, family drama and dynamics.  Told from dual points of view Savage had me intrigued from the start before ending in a kindle/book throwing cliffhanger.  Fortunately, the rest of the series is already available.

Wow! Just wow!

I started this book with a hope and expectations that were completely blown out of the water. My childish wishes and dreams were slowly corrupted by reality. My ideas of happily ever after were thwarted...because it's part one of a duet! But worst of all, the hopelessness that creeps over your body and heart while you read.

The loss of innocence and devastating truths make the reader feel more naive than Sarah Jane. It's so well written and drives you to the brink. At no time did I stop to eat or deal with life, I had a desperate need for the finish...yet all I got was the current ending. Way to crush dreams by the way! Also my tears have yet to dry up.

I don't remember my exact naive thoughts from before I started but now I cling to the only thing I have left- HOPE. Hope for the Queen.

Heartbreaking

I have never read a book that has summed up a tortured soul as well as this story. From the opening pages the reader knows that there is going to be heart break and devastation. Alexander and Sara Jane's love could not be denied but will the two live to see it flourish. I cannot wait until the next book in the series to see how it all turns out.

Wow... just wow.. This book left me on the edge of my seat and wanting to turn the pages faster than I could read them. I can't wait for the sequel. That cliffhanger was brutal.

Alexander Kingwood 😍😍 The man and his motorcycle oozes bad boy. Then we meet Sara Jane Grayson and we see a new side to him and how they change over the years they've been together. I loved this book. i actually couldn't put it down i read it in one say. I stopped only to be mom and take care of the kiddos. I had times where i was worried or pissed. But in the end i was left wanting more and was happy to know i was able to dive into Savior. I fell in love with the other characters but there are a few i was not crazy for.

WTF? This book is FULL of angst, but I was not expecting that ending. Holy hell! Now to wait a month to see if Sara Jane and Alexander get their HEA. *Please, please, please let that happen*
