This book started out kind of slow for me. Just as I decided it wasn't my cup of tea, unexpected things started happening. Then you get the sense of, "Maybe I need to see this through.", and it becomes engaging.

Admittedly, I had moments where I wanted to rescue Quinn from her shrewish mother and sister. I was cheering for her to go overseas to get away from them. I was really glad she had her father.

I don't see this book as a romantic comedy. I didn't find much humor in it. More of just a romance, with slightly sad moments for Quinn.

I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy received from Gemma Halliday Publishing.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a fun and entertaining read. The story did not go as I expected which was a nice change. Quinn's character is one that a lot of women can relate to. She is self confident in a lot of ways but struggles in other areas. Quinn, her family and close friends, and the people she meets along the way pulled me in and left me wanting more.
I received an ARC from the publisher for purposes of an unbiased review.
