Collection of three stories (with a somewhat minimal framing bit) from the adventures of Miles Vorkosigan.

"The Mountains of Mourning" is a clever murder mystery with Miles assigned to preside over an infanticide case in an impoverished village in the backcountry of Barrayar.

"Labyrinth" serves essentially as an origin story for Sergeant Taura, and a prequel to the events of Mirror Dance. Ir's also a really solid action-packed tale of espionage and mayhem.

"Borders of Infinity" is a prison escape story set in a high-tech POW camp that is fiendish in its simplicity.

All of these stories featured great worldbuilding, character development, and pacing.

Three novellas wrapped in a bit of framing dialogue. Miles continues to be clever.
