(read as single issues)
A bit of an odd mini-series--the issues not written by Nnedi don't seem to fit in? Still, overall a fun read and I can't wait for Nnedi's Shuri comic!

Not sure where this is in line with the MCU. A little hard to follow.

I really like the way that Okorafor writes Wakanda. This collection of three comic singles was great, probably my favorite of the Black Panther universe, with the Shiri ongoing series (also by Okorafor) being a very close second.

"Blackout", "The Sacrifice", and "Obinna's Folly" make up the first section, and were my favorites. The last story "Under the Bridge" had an interesting Venom mashup.

This was fine, I really like the idea behind the main story but it moves far too quickly and that's even when it is broken up by a smaller unrelated story halfway through. I did really enjoy Okorafor's dialogue, most of it felt good to read and Black Panther himself felt very familiar to what I know of the character. Finally, there's a one-shot story involving an alternate universe Black Panther, a teenage girl who is also Venom, again I wasn't massively into this but that's likely due to not being as familiar with that character, I believe she has appeared in other stories before. Overall, I found this middling but there's enough that I like that I would definitely be interested in exploring more of Nnedi Okorafor's writing.

I really like the storyline. The first issue starts with a bang, and the story could go in so many directions. The conclusion to the initial story makes my classic sci-fi loving heart smile.

Then the art! There was so much to look at, and the colors were vibrant. The art conveyed the plot wonderfully. All around this series is a good time.

This one was good. Interesting stories, but not as good as Okorafor’s Shuri. I am intrigued by Ngozi’s story and hope they give some more insight to her reign as interim Black Panther!

Great addition, I’m sure

I say, “I’m sure” because I have not read very widely within Marvel comics, but from reading the background info, it seems like there needed to be more. That said, there were a lot of gaps. I’m not sure how any of these stories fit in with the Marvel Universe movies, if they do at all. There’s literally no tie in at all. They are still good stories that I enjoyed. I am just aware of my ignorance. And who is this Ngozi who is interim Black Panther. What happened to T’Challa? 3.5 stars

I REALLY loved Nnedi Okorafor's story, I want her to write more Black Panther stories; however, the rest of the collection was just okay.
