Best for Last!

I write this review with a happy but heavy heart. Gracie and her Heron Creek gang have been on such a journey, and I have been with them every step of the way and seeing it come to an end it bittersweet. Not Quite Buried is the perfect book to end it. There’s the mystery that always surrounds Gracie but her friends and family, those relationships, really jump off the page and burrow into your heart. I hope to hear more from these people that I have come to cherish down the line. Just do yourself a favor and read this. Even if you don’t like ghosts, or paranormal, elements, this book will change your mind!

So I will start off by saying I LOVE this series and I'm really sad to let Gracie go. :( I know all good things must come to an end, but Lyla Payne has done such a great job with this series. I will really miss Gracie and Leo and all the ghosts.

I think this is a really good final book, except I kind of didn't like how there were a few loose ends. I know it was done to help us be interested in the next series, and well it worked. I can't wait to see what series comes next. But I would have preferred this particular book to wrap up all nice and neat. (And let's be honest, I would have picked up the new series no matter what LOL) But anyways, back to this book ... it is very well written, thought out, and keeps you engaged throughout the entire thing! I have LOVED watching Gracie grow and evolve throughout this series and it's always one I highly recommend to people! Lyla Payne has done a phenomenal job with all of the characters in each book and this one was no different. We feel their hearts - their joys, sadness, frustration, fears, and love!
