I got this book from a public library giveaway and decided to read it despite having never heard of the series. Each fable was pretty short and the corresponding comic for each felt too short to really connect with the characters, and there were only a couple that stood out and were memorable to me, hence the rating. My favorite was "The History of the Spectre Ship" representing Iraq, by Caitlyn Kurilich.

Loved this collection of folktales that originated in various countries in Asia. It was fun seeing each artist's take on old stories. I do wish there was a little context included for some of the stories. This would be an excellent companion piece for anyone studying any of this folklore.
