A couple stories before Empire Strikes Back, a retelling of ESB, then a few stories after.
Some are pretty good, some are silly but still fun to read.
One weird thing is you see Vader a lot as a diplomat, interacting with Luke and Leia when he's not allowed to openly fight with them.

Still wacky and all over the place. The adult me loves how different they are from what we now think of as the Star Wars Universe.

It's got so many stars for the nostalgia value. Right around Empire the stories started getting really weird and goofy.
