Love love loved this one!
This novella made me realise I read The Bone Season and The Mime Order way too fast. I actually added a star to my rating of The Bone Season!

Page’s backstory was very intriguing and made me want to read more of it.
Despite it being a novella and therefore short, I found the story holds up and was packed with action scenes which made it feel longer than it actually was. My problem with other novellas is they often feel rushed but The Pale Dreamer did not!

This is the book that has made me see the brilliance that is Shannon’s writing and ultimately made me fall in love with The Bone Season series.

I liked this a lot! I thought it would be hard to read after finishing all the other Bone Season stories currently published, but it turned out to be a great prequel and did a lot to add context to Paige's relationship with her gang, especially with Jaxon.

The plot was pretty light overall, with the main focus about Paige being a probationary gang member and wanting desperately to prove herself.

Definitely worth the quick read if you love this series as much as I do!

This was a nice filler while we all eagerly awaited The Song Rising . It brought me right back into the clairvoyant underworld of Scion London. It was interesting reading about Paige's past a little more and how she got the name Pale Dreamer. I really hope Samantha does this for some of the other characters as well.

This novella I accidentally stumbled upon. It was part of The Bone Season (for me. Every copy may not be like this.) and I read it after TBS (The Bone Season) personally, you don't have to read this one first. TBS explains everything very well. But, if you want to know more about Paige/ The Pale Dreamer, I recommend you read this.

I read this after reading [b:The Bone Season|17199504|The Bone Season (The Bone Season, #1)|Samantha Shannon|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1516752880l/17199504._SY75_.jpg|19248070] - mainly because it was at the end of my copy of that book. I wish I'd read it first because it explained why Paige felt such loyalty to The Seven Seals along with giving some more insight into how the syndicate worked. It's a short book but does add to the reading experience.
