FROST was a really sweet and emotional romance. While it technically takes place right after Christmas, it definitely has a holiday feel with its winter landscapes and the magic of the holidays. When Luka was a child he gets lost in the woods and is rescued by Jack Frost but as time goes by he assumes it was just a dream. 19 years later and Luka visits the cabin where he got lost and finds Jack again.

Together these two were so sweet and playful and loving. As a half gold, half nymph Jack is used to the loneliness of his immortal life but there's something about Luka that draws and captivates him. Luka has always felt connected to the myth of Jack Frost and now that he knows it's real he finds himself already falling in love. Luka has such a tender heart and I hated seeing him worrying and hurting over what seems like an inevitable end to their winter fling. The beginning of FROST started out a bit slow for me but it quickly picked up and ended up being really beautiful.

this was one of the coolest interpretations of jack frost ever. it was romantic and silly. had its tug the heartstring moments. I loved the mythology aspect. it was a fun read and though this was my first book from this author it will not be the last.

An easy read that was honestly THE PUREST THING. 10/10 adorable. Would cradle it at night.

4 out of 10.

Although reading a gay romance about Jack Frost was refreshing, the whole plot was rather dull. I felt like I should have cried at least once while reading the whole book, but I was far from emotional.

Well this was so cute.
A bit of magic, a bit of angst, with a dash of sweetness and whole lotta love.
I adored this book. It's like a palate cleanser, when you crave something sweet and fluffy to lift up your spirits.

****HIGHY RECOMMENDED NYMPHS****

This is a loose MM retelling of the fairytale of Jack Frost and I was on it like white on rice.

What I loved:
- The Characters...
Jack Frost was magical and ethereal, but he was also delightful and relatable. He was mortal in his feelings and immortal with his duties. He was like a little kid who couldn't get the cookie he so desperately wanted, which made him endearing. #ComeFlyWithMe

Luca Summers has dreamt of Frost since childhood, after he had a traumatic incident. He channeled his dreams and obsession into writing a series about him. #AWhisperInMyEar

- The Plot...
Luca lost his muse after writing his latest book, so he goes back to the cabin where his dreams always start in search of inspiration. What he doesn't expect is finding the real deal instead. with it comes inspiration, happiness, lust and love. #BetterThanMyDreams

- The Romance...
It was as sweet as the treats Luca made for Jack. These men had a connection set in stone, and even through years of separation, they found each other again. They make the best of what they were dealt, connection, having adventures, and generally just "being", even though they couldn't have all of what they wanted. #TimeHasNoMeaning

- The Heat...
Umm.... It was HOT.... Let's just say that Jack has a few tricks up his sleeve. #ThatIsAll

- The HEA...
It isn't easy. It takes a lot out of both men to get there... but ultimately they do and it is just as sweet as the whole book. #ImmortalLove

This was wonderfully melancholy and divinely sexy at the same time. I adore this book so much!! My heart was completely full by the end.

I love the way contemporary was woven with fantasy to create this beautiful surreal world between Luka and Jack.

It was whimsical and magical and utterly delightful while also having such sad undertones. It was a dream to read!

Unpopular opinion alert …. I hated everything about this. I got to 30% and skimmed the rest because I found it so cringe

Luka meets Jack Frost when he is 8 years old and lost in the woods, this starts his life long obsession with him. He writes stories about Jack’s adventures and when an unfortunate case of writers block hits, he returns to the same place he met Jack. Their second meeting starts the same as the first, with Luka lost in the snow and Jack coming to his rescue. Over the month Luka is at the cabin they fall in love but they just have one little problem, Jack’s immortality and Luka’s mortality don’t mesh well. This book had me sobbing but our babies got their HEA in the end.

I really liked this touching tale of an immortal finding love. There’s maybe a smidge too much sex but I felt their connection and the story is beautifully written. I actually tested up in spots.
