This book is something. It's like a stream of consciousness. It's definitely like the dreams I would have when I was severely sick or had a really bad Lupus flare. The wasp part really got to me & I really want it to be made into some weird sci-fi movie. I really need to read the other books, then this one again.

This book was such a trip, and I am here for it.
I need to read more like this because it made me question what I read once I finished it. It clearly left a mark on me, and I appreciate that. I had to finish it once I got to reading it.

Brief, grotesque and absurd. Exactly what I've come to expect from the Bedlam Bible series. I listened to this as an audiobook while playing video games and it's good fun! I don't feel like it has any greater depth or intrigue that would make me rate it higher, but it's a fun and quick horror story.

The Astronaut Dream Book by William Pauley III is delightfully weird and I enjoyed the ride. Pauley is an original voice in horror and this is my 4th book by this author, they are officially an auto-buy for me. This is a short story but it packs a huge punch. Storytelling at its best.

I received a review copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest review. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

This was a wild ride! I got this as an audio ARC from NetGalley and it was a quick read with fantastic narration. It pulled me in and did a great job with the cosmic horror/ sci-fi horror. I was hooked from the beginning and felt a range of emotions while listening to this. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because there were a few details throughout that didn’t quite connect for me, but those little moments were not substantial enough to bring me out of the feeling of the story, I just had a few lingering questions. However, those may be answered if there’s more to come in this series, and if so, I will absolutely be picking them up. If you’re into this vein of horror, you will enjoy this.

This book cover is so great! I was instantly drawn to it and was so excited to download the audio. I found the stories interesting. I loved the little pieces of the story that made the characters human, the swearing and yelling, the push to survive by befriending things inside you, and even the fight to save a boy. The stories had pieces that made them gory or scary but also pieces of the people that were in it that kept you grounded a bit in reality. I was hooked with each little glimpse into what was going on and I loved that it was quick listen.

A huge thank you to the author and publisher for providing an e-ARC via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book.

Can I just say I think the cover is cool. Connor Brannigan does another fantastic job as narrator and I’m still in awe of the talented William Pauley III.

This is really quick to listen to. It’s very short. The world is still bizarre, I wouldn’t expect anything less. Without giving to much away I could picture the astronaut and hornet larvae. Yuk! In the last story I kept thinking what a sad and pathetic woman. She is so desperate for connection with someone, anyone, even bug-lady. I didn’t understand how that story tied in with the others until her son came barging through the door. Then oh ok now I see…. The ending upset me. I mean, who just wastes two bowls of alphabet soup?

I want to thank NetGalley and Doom Fiction audio for a copy of the audiobook in exchange for my honest and voluntary opinion/review.

That was weird. I guess I would have enjoyed more of I had read 1 and 2 before this one.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an audiobook in exchange for a review.

Ok first of all - the narrator did an outstanding job!! And second - what a fever dream of a book it was!!! I have mixed feelings about it.

If I were to rate it based on the writing: 4 ⭐️
Cause the writing was amazing, painting such vivid images.
Based on whether I enjoyed it: 3 ⭐️
