The story of so many women who didn't see themselves as change makers stepping up to fight for change using their unique skillsets is such an inspiration.

This book successfully frames the stakes of reproductive rights in our current times. The book only has a neoliberal approach to solutions. There is not enough acknowledgment that the conservative movement has weaponize the courts and pursues their goals in bad faith. Institutionalism and traditional pursuit for justice will not work with the assault on current rights.
The author of this books seems more interested in profiling the women in this book than laying out the work they are doing and it’s shortcomings. Stacy’s Abrams lost twice and the voter laws have been revoked for a huge swath of black Georgian voters. The Biden Administration has failed at setting up a legal or legislative fight to restore Roe. Rights are rolling back across America for many protected groups and yet this book wants to celebrate a few individuals.
Removing the filibuster, packing the court, and impeaching a few justices are how we are going to win this fight. Voting blue harder, donating to dubious 501(c)3’s, and celebrating #girbosses is not the way. I care way more about results and liberating people under a rising religious theocracy than the profile of the person who accomplishes the goal.

When I started reading I was afraid that this would be just a White Feminist™ fluff piece but the author focuses on different women including women of color.
I was speechless during the discussio of the Supreme Court and judicial circuits in general.
