This trilogy has everything: romance, humor, mystery, plot twists, smut, happy endings, magic, egyptian gods, vampires, reaper dogs...what more could you want? The story starts with a girl waking up in a morgue with no memory of who she is or how she got there, or how she turned into a vampire. After a few weeks hiding in in the sewers of Las Vegas, she runs into Grim, a.k.a. the Grim Reaper, a.k.a. Abnubis, the Egyptian god of the dead. Grim had wiped out all vampires centuries ago, or so he'd thought. Grim wants to use Vivien as bait to lure out whoever is creating new vampires, and Vivien just wants to find out who she was before she died.
The story across all three books in the series was so much fun. The characters were so lovable and the world Holly Roberds created is so unique and interesting. There are so many books out there about Greek gods and Norse gods, and it's nice to finally see Egyptian mythology getting some love. Grim is broody, loving, and all the things you'd want a book boyfriend to be. Even the side characters are great, and I really want a spin-off series so I can know what happens to all of them and keep visiting this world.

Great ideas, semi likeable characters with some character development but didn’t love the writing style. it was clunky and at times juvenile despite explicit content.
