It's been a hot second since I read the first volume of this series, but luckily, when I opened this up to read one final book before the year's end, I was glad I remembered all the necessary details in order to hop back on board for this wonderful, wild ride.
There was a lot to love in this volume, but I was particularly tickled by the interlude where the acting troupe found Ampersand, how the women in the town wanted the actors to work on a new soap opera; hilarious.
It also ended on a proper cliffhanger with Hero showing up where the second-to-last man on earth was just born and luckily, I just got volume three for Christmas, so I'll definitely be reading what happens next a lot sooner than I read this volume after volume one!

While I enjoyed Book One, I wasn't that invested in the characters yet. After Book Two though, I am definitely fully invested! I am also fully invested in the plot and all the twists and turns. This has been a blast. The whole plot line with the astronauts, woo! And Ampersand, that monkey needs to be protected at all costs. (And Yorick too, I suppose 🤪) And some secrets revealed! I enjoyed this volume and I'm looking forward to more.

Wow,
This was such an interesting second volume in the Y: The Last Man series.
There was such an interesting switch of coloring within this volume. IT was such a beautiful change that gave the comic a more serious tone.
This story is still so awesome, and the writing is so beautiful, and the art is still so breathtaking.

Just as stellar and unpredictable and hilarious as the last one. Vaughan and team achieve what others do not—a cohesive, detailed panorama of possibilities in a dystopia.
