I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

I have to say, I originally rated this as a 4 star read and then I questioned why? What didn't I like about it... it deserves 5 stars.

Victoria and Nick went to sniper school together and then Victoria disappeared off the grid without a trace. Years later in another country Nick misses his mark by another sniper, and in walks Victoria.

While this is sixth in the series, it can be read as standalone. Victoria is the heroin you want to be, she is a sniper and one of the best, she is smart, independent, and doesn't need a man for anything. Nick wants to know why she left, he wants to help her, and refuses to take her attitude. There is a real story here about war and conspiracy, so it's not just fluff or smut. There is some key drama to keep you intrigued and interested, and when you least expect it, you get more of the story to Nick and Victoria. Holy hotness, I was blushing. Nick doesn't need Victoria and she doesn't need him, but in the heat of the moment while stuck on a stake out together does a little hooking up hurt? Of course not, and Victoria doesn't turn into the cliche of a woman falling at his feet, she is still herself with a job to do.

I have to say, this was as surprise read that I was not expecting to enjoy as much as I did. I read this in one day, 5 star hot read for me!

Thank you to Lynn Rae Harris for the opportunity to read and review her book. I really enjoyed this one! *Not intended for anyone under 18 due to strong sexual content.

Another winner! I really enjoy this series and this was no exception. Victoria and Nick meet in a high tension situation and the plot races from there. A great read!

HOT Rebel by Lynn Raye Harris is a 2014 publication. I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I hate using those overused and often over the top statements like: “ This is the best book in the series so far” and “Lynn Raye Harris has done it again”. However... This is the best book in series and Lynn didn't just do it again, she somehow did it better.

First of all, not only do we have a hot alpha male is Nick “Bandy” Brandon, but we have an alpha female in Victoria Royal. This is an interesting combination that pits two strong willed and determined people against each other. Victoria is known as a traitor after she was kicked out of the army. Her sister Emily has gotten herself into a very dangerous situation by becoming romantically involved with a man who has terrorist connections. Victoria has aligned herself with the worst of the worst looking for her sister. She is a gun for hire, a mercenary, and when she stumbles across Nick, a man she trained with long ago, he is stunned to see her and saddened by her choices. When Nick's boss explains Victoria could be of use to them and promises her he will help get her sister back, the two have to work together on a very tense, dangerous mission. Nick doesn't trust Victoria at first and who could blame him, but once he sees that getting her sister back is her one and only goal he is all in. The biggest problem they will face by working together is this pesky attraction between them and it's the most inopportune moment this to happen, but time is awastin and it's either now or never.

I thought the storyline was really suspenseful, more so than usual. Terrorist and germ warfare can keep a person up at night. Trying to imagine your sister being the clutches of such an evil person would have to be unbearable. Even if Emily's choices cost Victoria her place in the army, her family duties come first and since she had the training and nothing left to lose she does what she can to save her sister. I loved Nick's character and his way of always calming Victoria down and having her look at the situation in a more rational manner. Sometimes I hate that oh so reasonable explanation guys have that makes sense when you think about it. But, this was a good thing for Victoria because ,of the two , she has had the worst time of things. Nick has had a few bad experiences in life, but for the most part he's in a good place when the story begins. The book was well paced and the romance was super hot and spicy. Lots of sizzle and burn in this one. The chemistry is great and this pair are going to make a great team. For this one I will dust of the 5 star rating.

I was lucky enough to get a review copy thanks to the author through NetGalley. I love the HOT series from Lynn Raye Harris and was excited to read Hot Rebel.

I have to say the HOT series is my favorite from Lynn Raye Harris. I really enjoy her Harlequin books, but love the hotter books she writes for the HOT series. Add in super sexy military men, and I've been hooked from the very first book.

Victoria Royal might be one of my favorite characters ever. She is a total kick-ass heroine who can shoot as well or better than any man. Nick "Brandy" Brandon, aka 'Preacher Boy' and Victoria were in sniper school together and have always butted heads just a bit. Nick and Victoria have amazing chemistry together and I could feel it from the first moment they saw each other again.

I love how both Nick and Victoria are so protective of their families. While they take different steps to keep them safe, they both have such strong protective instincts. Nick and Victoria were amazing as a couple, but I loved even more how well they worked as a team to take down the bad guys.

Hot Rebel is another fast-paced super sexy military romance and I can't wait for my next fix in this series! I have an idea as to who the hero will be in the next HOT book, and am super excited to get his story.

Victoria paid for her sister's mistakes with her military career; now she is skirting the honorable and trying to save her sister from her terrorist husband.

I like books with strong women; and Victoria is one tough operator. She is a sniper, which is not an uncommon job for a romantic suspense character; but rare for a female character. Her sister is her family and Lynn Raye Harris does a great job with the many emotions in this plot. Victoria can't be heartless but she can't be weepy either. Nick "Brandy" Brandon is a true HOT hero; he has great love for his country; great determination to get the mission done and he falls hard for his woman. Brandy has a hard exterior that he shows his teammates, but a soft spot we see with Victoria. I loved the soft parts; especially when they discussed their families.

I would recommend reading these books in order - I accidentally read out of order and I wasn't lost - but I did not get to truly enjoy the revelations in the series as Lynn Raye Harris intended.

I really love this series - and I a little sad I am caught up.

I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley and this is my honest review.
