I first stumbled upon the author via Instagram, and I was immediately drawn to the depth in her words. This book does not disappoint on that front. She brings something new to using moonlight as a metaphor, and that isn’t easy to do. Her words are powerful and real. They speak of love and loss, of pain and hope, of moving on when it is so hard to let go. Her story becomes one of self-discovery, and she brings you along for some self-discovery of your own. I love finding new poets who know how to delve into my soul, and Jessie does just that. Wonderful read.
