A bit of a concerning book. The way that Mari was so willing really shocked and horrified me. Would not recommend.

This was just wild. I guess that's why I'm not going to rate it super low because I was entertained and a little shocked with what was going on. And then with the nephew? Girl got some issues...
But that's what it seems like why Mari went along with the man (who we don't really know his name), her mom had a tight hold on her and then she was still dealing with her father's passing. I'm curious to know what happened to her after the ending.

I can’t do it. I love all of Ogawa’s other works but yeah this one is too far for me, I can’t be sitting here reading about a 67 year old pedo and a 17 year old girl doing up 50 shades. Next!
