Some good some just ok

A decent collection of short stories set around the characters from Neil Gaiman’s Sandman universe. Definitely worth a read for those who are fans of Gaiman or the Sandman. For those who are not there may be a story or two that interests you but it would be better to go to the graphic novels first.

Eh. It's an anthology, with everything that implies. A few are great, most are not. I'm glad I read it, but it largely served as a reminder that as much as I adore Neil Gaiman's writing, I don't generally agree with his tastes.

Disappointed that Clive Barker didn't have an actual *story* in this. That would have made it all worth it (and it was 90% of the reason I bought it--I need to pay better attention to what I buy).

I liked these stories, even though it's been such a long time since I've read the comics. Some of these authors were already familiar to me, mostly from other short story collections. My favorite stories were: Each Damp Thing (Barbara Hambly), The Gate of Gold (Mark Kreighbaum), A Bone Dry Place (Karen Haber) and Afterword: Death (Tori Amos). I read most of these stories while sick, so maybe I'll someday reread the comics and this.

this was genuinely just as fascinating as the show, and I think watching the show before reading this is better for once, given that some of the stories overlap with some plotlines from the series. One or two of the stories, however, confused me beyond words, at one point I had to step back and realize that the words I was reading weren't supposed to make sense, I don't think. But the confusion didn't make them any less intriguing and thought-provoking. I recommend reading this for sure, but only if you liked the tv series as well.

I don't really like reading about dreams in books, so I don't know why I decided it would be a good idea to get a collection of short stories involving dreams. I guess Neil Giaman's name hooked me, but it turns out none of these stories are by him. Two-stars because I did enjoy a couple of them at least.

The best thing I can say about this collection of stories is that it makes the source material that much better in comparison.

Algunas historias me gustaron muchísimo, otras me aburrieron y otras no entendí absolutamente nada.
