FUCKING LOVE THIS BOOK! Would've loved it 100% more if I had had it when I was in senior year of high school.
(also idk why goodreads deleted this from my books, thanks goodreads fml)

Casey McQuiston is one of my favorite authors and I often find myself wishing I had books of hers like One Last Stop and Red White and Royal Blue while growing up however this one missed the bar a bit for me. I don’t know if it was the lack of a high stakes conflict or if it was just that I didn’t find Chloe or Shara very likable, but this one just fell short for me. I did love a lot of the support characters and I liked the concept of the first half I just think it should have been left at that.

casey mcquiston keeps solidifying their spot as my fav author. idk how they do it but she perfectly encapsulates the queer experience that many of us wish we had (minus the whole bible belt hiding in the closet situation). finding your people in a place where you don’t think your people are accepted, building those unexpected relationships, figuring out who you are. it was all done so perfectly and eloquently with the little bit of spunk that makes a casey book, a casey book. i wish i could read this for the first time again but i imagine picking up on things i completely missed the first time around will be just as fun.

Such an easy read! A little bit predictable but it was a really cute book. The plot was really interesting and kept you hooked, and the characters were all likeable.
