This is a fun, lighthearted read about secrets, friendships and love.

It mainly revolves around Bella, who has been carrying a big secret around for years but now finds it catching up with her. After she secretly married her childhood sweetheart Stevie, she then realised it wasn’t the life for her and cowardly ran away. But they never actually got divorced and so when she later met the real love of her life Philip, she married him too!

All is fine though as she gets on with living her life and just carrying this secret around with her, until one day her best friend Laura introduces her to her new boyfriend Stevie and Bella’s world starts to unravel. There can’t be more than one Elvis impersonator called Stevie can there? Of course it turns out it’s her Stevie!

Bella decides to try and derail Laura and Stevie’s fledgling relationship and break them up in order to keep her secret intact. But will Stevie go along with her plan? And now that she’s confronted with both her husbands, which life does Bella actually want?

All in all this story was a bit unbelievable and cliche in places but it was fun and easy to read. It’s definitely lighthearted versus other Adele Parks’ books I’ve read which are more thriller-y but still a good story!

I wouldn't say I loved the storyline but somehow it was relatable because let's just say, everyone has a past that was nice and unforgettable. And the best part of this story is that it recognizes that instead of forcing the past to simply diminish. We really shouldn't feel guilty about having had a past or even liking a part of how the past was. It's perfectly normal!

This book royally pissed me off. It's about a woman (Bella) who marries her high school sweetheart (Stevie) very young. Then when he amounts to nothing more then an Elvis impersonator (I'm not lying), she just up and leaves him. Disappears and never files for a divorce. Then years later she falls in love and marries again (becoming a bigomist) and never tells her new 'husband' about her past. When her first husband shows up and starts dating her best friend (Laura), she then trys to deceive everyone by continuing to keep the truth from them. Of course it all blows up in her face.

It's so unrealistic I wanted to scream. Bella was annoying. The fact that she hides the truth from everyone and thinks she's going to get away with it, really annoyed me. That would NEVER happen. I only finished listening because I wanted to know what happened in the end. And I was rooting for the best friend because she was the only character I liked. Of course it was a happy ending, but the entire premise of the book made me mad.

My favorite Adele Parks book yet! I absolutely loved the characters in this novel and I found myself shaking with anticipation each time I turned a page. Honestly, I haven't come across a story like this in a long time, so I highly suggest you read it. I could rave about this book all day!
