this was a collection of his stories and truthfully i was not impressed by most of them there were a few i did really like and those i read trough quickly. i will give more of his stories a chance

...it is certain that they worshipped a sea-green stone idol chiselled in the likeness of Bokrug, the Great water-lizard; before which they danced horribly when the moon was gibbous.“

One of my favorite things about Lovecraft is how old everything feels. Sarnath is in the Dreamlands, but it could just as easily be a terribly ancient city from before the flood.
