There was a lot to love in this rom-com. Her characters are always well rounded and authentic. I liked that this one was lover to friends to lovers. I also really enjoy that Olivia Dade always makes her characters realistic people and genuine fights/misunderstandings and resolutions.

Definitely the weakest of the series, but a charming and breezy contemporary romance with great fat representation and refreshing characters.

The characters don't have very much character, and it really felt like we got to the end because the author said, "They're in love!" I struggled to find any real depth to them. They go to an island, have one nice experience, and then six years of filming and nice experiences passes in a chapter break. About 75% of the way through the book, I had to ask myself if I understood what the plot was, and I didn't. I could not have told you what these characters were working towards or the ultimate goal was.

And the spice? Pepperoni at best.

I have really enjoyed each of the Spoiler Alert novels, Ship Wrecked is no exception. If you are looking for a series of books with three dimensional characters who grow and face their issues to be together, you've found it. It is warm, fuzzy, at times teary, but ultimately hopeful and centered on found family and a real representation of love and healthy relationships.

I enjoy the homage to Fandom and not so opaque inspiration drawn from the GOT TV series debacle.

They are all quite spicy, as spice is openly discussed (besides a handful of spicy scenes) and is sometimes played for laughs. Because Alex. Our little agent of chaos.
