I thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Miller’s autobiography Miller’s High Life. She writes with such directness and humor. I have to say that is now one of my top five favorite autobiographies.

Ms. Miller doesn’t shy away from touchy personal matters. She tackles life’s trauma with a matter-of-fact tone. She never plays the victim card. She is a survivor and a thriver!

One of my favorite things about the book was when she spilled the “t” on some famous star ladies. She never revealed names but honey, I am searching archives to connect the dots! I love how she divulges the read with some delicious Hollywood scandal but is respectful of the identities of the people involved. She was well liked in her industry so I assume if those people read her book, they may be upset but would appreciate that she didn’t name names.

So many autobiographies I have read, I have simply refused to mention any fun old Hollywood dirt. They kept everything saccharine sweet and it becomes a bore; not Ms. Miller. I appreciate this. See, there is a way to share info without harming the people involved!

Her life was quite fascinating and this book will not only keep you engaged, but you will fall in love with Miss Annie Miller, if your weren’t already. My only wish was she would have written a follow up on her later years. Rest In Peace, Ms. Miller.
