This is so hard to put into words on how much I loved it but I did so so much. There were short stories that resonated and short stories that made me think about the person that I am or who I wanted to be. “Boys go to Jupiter” is my second favorite and one that had me asking questions at the end and “The Office of Historical Corrections” short story came at me out of nowhere. I didn’t think I would like it at all but towards the end, I was damn near tears. This is such a unique collection of short stories that I think everyone should get around to reading.

You can tell what the emotional climate of 2020 was just by reading this book. Personally, it took me back to the George Floyd protests and public health crisis. And while it doesn't really mention anything about the pandemic, it's hard to not read in between the lines. Whether the pandemic actually influenced the book is not for me to say, as simply being published in 2020 doesn't mean anything (she could have wrote this in 2018 for all we know), but it is incredibly indicative of the world we lived in and the one we currently live in.
