Oooh ok. I like this so far!

I am used to reading graphic novels in volume or collection form, and am just dipping my toe into the piecemealed issue by issue format. I'm not crazy about reading stories this way (I guess I like to 'binge' my graphic novels rather than get a weekly episode), but I really like the start of this series and am left wanting more. I'm debating if I want to keep purchasing it issue by issue, or wait until a volume hopefully comes out so I can read it as a whole.

Really interesting world and the family intrigues me. I love the idea of a pirate-ish oceanic city that has formed its own governmental policies and acts as a neutral meeting ground for other countries. So good! I'm not quite clear on how 'the family' plays into it. Are they vigilantes? Generations-old unspoken guardians? Are they supposed to be top secret? Who governs them? I imagine some of this will be answered in later issues.

The art is fantastic as well. Expressive characters and interesting watercolors. I adore the protagonists wild hair, which seems to have a life of its own.

Will definitely be picking up more!

This is a prime example why I always give new comics at least 3 issues before judging.
Likes:
The water colors are pretty
The characters (so far) are intriguing
The world seems like it could be interesting

Hopes:
It needs more world building
A little backstory and explanation

It's interesting, but the world building is a little slip-shod.
