Boy oh boy did I read at least a hundred of these books. The yellow vintage cover was one that is so familiar to me. A young woman named Nancy Drew, who solves crimes and sometimes engages with danger. The finest sleuth in all the land!!

Really just a sweet little mystery. I'm surprised how well it's held up over time, very "good old American values" type thing. Nancy does seem lovely and very likeable, I did find it funny whenever the author would clearly indicate this was a teaching moment for young adults
(Nancy gets caught out with the clock, but she decides it's best to be honest! E.g.) I do wish they hadn't made the name of the book the major clue, though - took away quite a bit of suspense there.

I loved the Nancy Drew books growing up. The idea of a young girl being able to solve mysteries was so exciting. I was always interested in mystery stories, and the idea of being a detective or spy growing up.

I remember reading nothing but these nancy drew books when I was young. It's nice to revisit and realize I probably had no idea what was going on most of the time. Still. Nancy Drew is a classic and I hope my children read these stories.

Feeling nostalgic- favorite series from my youth. I remember the public librarian from my local library would borrow Nancy Drew books from other libraries and call me on the telephone when they arrived for me. Do you think this librarian made an impression on me? :>)
