Batwoman is finally in good hands. I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store for my favourite DC superhero.

Did I give this 5 stars because Batwoman is a lesbian? Yes. Also, the artwork? Amazing. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series.

Won't Lie to you , I had been waiting a long long time for this Rebirth to take place , the idea of Batwoman vs the League of shadows was also exciting for me . This however was just sort of a teaser or a trailer to what we should expect from the Batwoman issues in the near future .

The book hints at some really fascinating events to some real eye-roll-worthy ones , The art looks good enough to hold on it's own and not get any criticism , fair or unfair , labelled it's way .

All in all , this is simply sort of a trailer for the big event that's about to follow and by all means I suggest people not to spend money on this book because , it has nothing significant going on .

I wanted to like this, especially since I've been enjoying Detective Comics, Rebirth, in which Batwoman plays a prominent role. I also can't help but be drawn to the character of Batwoman. Although this was entertaining, and I like the idea of including lesbian relationships in mainstream comics like it's not a big deal, this was poorly executed. The art quality wasn't near the standard as some of the other flagship DC Rebirth titles, and despite being written by a woman, the stress on the love triangle seemed too much like typical stupid fan service. Now, instead of two hot chicks fighting over a guy, it's two hot chicks fighting over a girl? This is not better, especially since it just seems like an excuse for action cat fights, at least one of which included grabbing Batwoman by the red hair (wig) and slamming her against a wall. :/

This is one of those cases where you need to have a strong background in a character to really get what the story is trying to say. I don't, having only recently picked up Western comics. I've mostly read New 52 Batwoman, and not even all of it (such as it is). There were so many references being made that would probably have had emotional impact if I'd known them, that instead left me puzzled. The story was a little disjointed, with timehopping for no apparent reason (to me, unless that's just a thing Rebirth is doing--this is the only Rebirth comic I've picked up so far). The art was lovely, the writing otherwise solid.

Pretty much a recap of everything from Elegy forward. Nice way to introduce the character/refresh the reader on Kate's life. The last page certainly perked my interest.
