No me ha gustado nada de nada el dibujo, además de que me parece que las fechas son diferentes que en los libros. ¿Mercy conoce a Adam a la vez que empieza de mecánica? No sé, podría haber sido mejor en todos los aspectos.

A little disjointed, but overall the story was good. I'm not a huge fan of the art. Mercy is drawn as strong and sexy on the original book covers, but in much of this graphic novel she was way over-sexed. I thought Adam was drawn very oddly. Zee looked perfect, though.

Hmm, I seem to be in the minority on this one. I love the Mercy Thompson series, so when I found out a prequel graphic novel existed I was jumping for joy.

Unfortunately, I didn't like:
-the story
-80% of the art (which is a must for me, I can't read GR's if I don't like the art)
-many characters were nothing like I'd pictured

...and there's the added issue of I got bored.

I don't mean to be mean or cruel, but I think I'll be sticking to the books.

I liked it. Interesting story although it was a bit similar to the first book story line it was a ew story. Loved the drawings.

Patricia Briggs is one of my favourite authors, her werewolves being my favourite out of all the series I've read however I was slightly disappointed by this graphic novel. The initial art was wonderful, I loved it though some of the portrayals did go against how I saw them -- to be expected really -- but the artwork did slip some at the end of novel I thought, as if they got bored or tired of doing it.

I would have really enjoyed this in book form, I think. Obviously there was a lot of inner thought missing from this but I thought that it would have done a lot better in book form, would have given readers a nice insight into Mercy's background and how she ends up living in Adam's backgarden and things. I did enjoy it -- of course -- but I did expect more so I was a little disappointed.

For a first book wasn't that good. I know this isn't actually the first book, but as an introduction wasn't interesting enough to make me read the rest.

Also, I saw these books have very problematic representation of Native Americans. Very offensive and stereotypical plot/stories/characters. So, I won't spend money or time in here.

This "origin story" for Mercy Thompson, et.al., was sort of weird. I enjoyed it, but none of the characters looked like how I envisioned them. And Mercy seemed more confrontational in these comics than she is in the books.

But Patricia Briggs wrote it (actually, according to the post-story interview, she wrote a short story and David Lawrence wrote the "script") and she had input into the art (or she agreed with it, at least, per the interview). So is this how Mercy, et.al., look?

I think I'll stick with my internal imaginings, if that's okay with you.

As to the story, it was told in what I think of as "true comics' fashion." In other words, it "skipped" in places and seemed sort of disjointed as a result.

So, was the story enjoyable? Yes. Was the art good? Also yes, though not really to my taste.

The one thing I didn't like (apart from how "my" characters were portrayed) was . . . I thought Adam moved in and built his house after Mercy had already been living in the Tri-Cities for a bit? In this story, Adam was already there when Mercy arrived and his house was already built when he told Mercy that they were neighbors. So did the back story change between [b:Moon Called|71811|Moon Called (Mercy Thompson, #1)|Patricia Briggs|https://d2arxad8u2l0g7.cloudfront.net/books/1272070347s/71811.jpg|69530] and this comic? ??? :-(

But this graphic novel was enjoyable enough that I will read more of Mercy-in-comic-form should more ever be published.

Overall, this wasn't for me.It was nice to see more of Mercy's history in the Tri-Cities, but there wasn't much to learn. I just wanted more from this. The art style was weird and none of the characters look like I imagined them. I'll stick to the books.
