Not sure what to rate this yet. I may not even rate it at all, but I need to write this review (for myself more than anything) because I spotted something. I noticed it first when I saw this picture:

So yeah, there's the Seventh Doctor and his companion, Ace. Ace often wears dangly earrings, but these were no ordinary earrings. Do my eyes deceive me or are those Starfleet insignias? From Star Trek?? In a Doctor Who graphic novel??? And Ace was wearing them consistently throughout the short story. Here's a close up shot of the earrings shown in another picture:

Still the same. Now, here's the Starfleet insignia from Star Trek:

AM I GOING CRAZY OR WAS ACE FROM DOCTOR WHO WEARING STAR TREK EARRINGS?!?!

Reading this as in the official VNA reading order this collection sits between the Timewyrm and Cat's Cradle series (although Mark of Mandragora actually makes more sense before Timewyrm). It is a bit of a mixed bag of stories so going to rate each separately:

Fellow Travellers: 4/5
A very strong little tale, creepy but also quite touching

Darkness Falling\Distractions\The Mark of Mandragora: 2/5
Whilst some good moments, too fannish and ends up just petering out

Party Animals: 1/5
Silly continuity laden story which seems to just want to shove in as many references as possible.

Chameleon Factor: 3/5
Nice short story, would have loved to see more.

The Good Soldier: 2/5
Violent cyber space battles. Some interesting element but feels rather dull.

A Glitch In Time\Seaside Rendezvous: 1/5
Forgettable one shots that don't really have much depth

Teenage Kicks: 3/5
Another great short from Cornell that I wish had been longer.

Scream of Silence: 1/5
I have read this story 4 different times (including in the original 25th anniversary special) and I honestly struggle to recall what it was about. Just doesn't work for me.
