Gahhh I needed this book right away with how book 1 ended. I was so mad at Alley and Mase!!!

This book was filled with so much drama and suspense that I couldn’t put it down! I love when books are like that for me. Alley made up for making me mad with the ending of book 1. And I will say that Mase won me back over!

But can we talk about all the drama! Omg and having the Instagram chapters in there just made it all the better. Without getting into it too much, let’s just say that a curtain ex comes into the picture and stirs stuff up.

At last once again Alley leaves us on a cliffy, but the last one I HOPE! So now i am going to be chomping at the bits til book 3 comes out!

I discovered the ARC for Game Changer in my kindle after finishing a different book at 1:20 AM
- the next thing I know, it’s 4:30 AM and I can’t keep my eyes open any longer. A short nap and I was back up at 7:30 AM to dive back into this crazy awesome experience of a book. YES it’s that freaking good!!!

The Queen of Evil, Alley Ciz, knocked my breathe out with another killer cliffhanger in this one. You can’t be faint of heart to read her books. No her books are a full emotional experience and not for the weak.

Mase grovels and goes full out to win Skittles back and it’s epically swoony!! The cast of characters are as fantastic as in book one and make me want to be a part of their crew.

I received an ARC from the author and willingly gave up hours of sleep to read this book and post an independent review. Alley’s writing is super addictive, and it’s so frustrating that we have to wait another month or more for the 3rd book and the next fix. Bring on UofJ3!!

Game Changer picks up where Looking To Score left off, and holy shit Alley Ciz did a fabulous job of making it hurt so good.

You know that feeling you get, chest tightening, a lump in your throat as the tears begin to fall that was what happened to me. This author doesn’t just immerse you inside the world she created, her words ever so eloquently infuse the character’s emotions until they feel like your own.

This book pulls you deeper into this world with every word. The all-consuming fire between Mason and Kay, the banter between them and their friends, every intricate part of this is addictive.

This is the second day I’ve spent completely absorbed in the #UofJ world.

A gripping blend of intoxicating chemistry, a possessive alpha hero, a sassy heroine, witty banter, so many feels, and steam.

After that cliffhanger I need to immediately begin the next book.

🏈 Game Changer 🏈 (Book 2 of the U of J series) by Alley Ciz

ℝ𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘: 5 ⭐️; 1.5 🌶️

𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:

🏈 I’m not gonna lie - the immediate flight over the cliff was so dang worth it.

🏈 Even better than book 1! Let me tell ya - I’m all for a man that grovels - MASON NOVA GROVELS. Like - the saying goes “if he wanted to he would” and this man 5 minutes after being a complete doüche 🛶 did! I promise you this man makes up for his complete 🛶 moment. It was BRILLIANT to watch.

🏈 Even better - Kay wasn’t letting him get off so easily. She made him work for it. Even though she kind of plays coward - she says so herself in the book - by running - I love that she knows herself so well and understands herself to know that what she did was only delaying the inevitable!

🏈 This book was legit a game changer. You truly start to learn more about Kays past and then there are curveballs thrown into it when it comes to Mason and it’s just a big ole swirly mess. It doesn’t help that Kays ex shows up to be a total 🍑 🧢 and pretty much is the bane of my existence in this book. Sometimes I wonder if he was dropped on his head as a child.

🏈 Which all of these findings come into play and Alley decides - ya know what - let me just throw you off of another cliff. I know I know I just got you back from the last one but I PROMISE you it’s worth it.

🏈 The 🌶️ does increase in this book - lots more dïrty talk by Mason and more scenes that made it a bit 🔥! Again - I’m a very dark romance girly - so like that’s a generous rating when it comes to 🌶️ just note it is subjective 😂

Game Changer picks up right where Looking to Score left off.
But, like a cat with a mouse, Alley Ciz decided play with all my emotions and kill me with a slow burning anxiousness. Will they or won’t they was the question of the hour. My guy Mase pulled out ALL the stops for his girl and oh my swooning heart I was putty in his deliciously calloused hands.
Ciz took the sizzle up to off the charts haaawt with Mase and Kay in this one. Game Changer wouldn’t let me put it down and kept me up way past my bedtime but was totally worth it! Even though I was warned, I still wasn’t prepared for the one-two punch of a cliffhanger I was left with. So Miss Ciz please note that until PFK hits my kindle we are no longer friends.

Mase and Kay were such a great read.
This story picked up right where we were left in book one.

Personally, I enjoyed this one more than the first - just from the emotional aspect. SO MUCH TENSION.
Drama, hurt feelings, laughter, steam and bitter, twisted ex’s all play their part in this addictive read. But, resistance is futile because Casanova pulls out ALL THE STOPS!

And then....
Rage. Pure, unbelievable amounts of rage.

Why, You ask?
BECAUSE WE GOT ANOTHER FREAKING CLIFFHANGER!

As much as I love Mase and Kay I’m in utter disbelief that I have to wait (YET AGAIN) for the rest of the story.
Hurry up December.... I need the rest!

Anyway, 5+ stars. Fabulous read, highly recommend.

Jason, Maxine and Ava did an amazing job with narration.

I did enjoy this book and getting more of Mason and Kayla that being said I did have a few issues that will probably have me thrown under a bus but oh well. One: Kayla is trying to be anonymous for many reasons and after things ending in book one she goes with her best friend to lick her wounds but he tries to cheer her up by taking her to a party but not just a party, a party held by one of the top teams in the nation in basketball like no one will be snap chatting/insta/facebooking about her. No that’s just insanely not believable just why not make up another college instead of using a real one that’s known by a lot of people especially us basketball fans (Go Tar Heels btw). Two: not only did your relationship start off on the rocks Kayla was still keeping things from “the man she was in love with” so how was he suppose to know all her triggers etc?!? Three: When Mason comes to talk to you to apologize he finds you sitting in the lap of the guy you call BFF and thinks you were dating at a time?!? As a chick who mostly only has guy bffs single or not I don’t or never would sit in there lap because to me that’s an intimate thing you do with someone you’re involved in. Now do I hug, cheek kiss, hug again, and slap asses with my male bffs? Yes, yes I do but to find someone you love sitting in another’s lap feels off because if the tables were turned and you found Mason with his chick BFF sitting in his lap would you not fly off the handle, lose your cool, or storm off? My guess would be yes. Even after these things I still found myself interested in their relationship especially around 60%ish things started heating up and yes another cliffhanger but I am invested and dying to see where book 3 takes us.

I cannot put into words how much I enjoyed this book, Alley has perfectly continued Kay and Mase's story from Looking To Score. This book did have me wanting to hit a character or two but loved reading every second! I cannot wait for the final book Playing For Keeps but very sad to see their story coming to an end!!

We are back at U of J, and Mase has just ripped Kay's heart in two.

Kay now has to figure out how to get back to life after this blow that comes out of no where all while dealing with the demons from her past that just won't stay down. The great thing is that Kay has a huge support system, and Mase is left out in the dust. Of course if you read the first book you know that he will have a lot of groveling to do if he ever wants to get back into Kay's good graces considering he let his own demons get the best of him.

I think it is wonderful that Alley is writing a series with a such a strong female lead, and a support system that stands by her through it all. I can't help but love Kay, and wish I had a friend like her in my life. In fact if I could redo college with the whole crew from U of J I would jump on it in a heart beat!!!!

Warning: This book does end on a cliff hanger that will be continued in book 3 of this series.

Book 2 definitely does NOT disappoint!!! Wow! Talk about amazing. It picks up right where book 1 left off. Mason gets his head out of his ass and fight for his girl. Kay gives him a hard time and avoids him. All their friends/family rally for him after he proves himself. Then bring in some ghosts from both Kay and Masons pasts and wow!
This cliffhanger is worse than the first. Might need the wait for book 3 to get my emotions in check.
