Maggie does beautiful food that you just know has been put together with the greatest attention to the details that really matter: taste and quality ingredients. I'm yet to cook much from here, but there are so many marked that I can't wait to try them. The banana & passionfruit pavlova has already become a kitchen staple - it's now my go-to for full-size pavlovas.

Some things are a little out-of-the-ordinary (yabbies feature) and some things are so elegantly simple (the fig-glazed ham). There is the attention paid to using leftovers too.

It's a delight to read as well as to cook from. Each section is divided into Christmas season occasions (the big day, boxing day, new years eve, etc) which is very practical. You have an instant and carefully planned meal just waiting to be eaten. The photography is beautiful as well. Everything just looks like such fun and so delicious!

If you feel the need for only one Christmas cookbook on your shelf, I'd say this is a serious contender.

My new life goal is to spend Christmas with Maggie in her beautiful Barossa home (seriously - I'd love an invite!).
