Summer and Ben is all that needs to be said. What a great book! Life's problems, God's solutions. This book shows what can happen when people really care about others and are willing to let God work in their lives. I look forward to reading other books by this author. Relaxing to read. It grabs you at the first page and doesn't let go until the last page. I found this book hard to put down. I wanted to read all night to finish this book but the eyelids would not let that happen. I continued the next day and was able to complete it. I love the way this author writes. No sex. No profanity. No violence.

This is the first book in a new series and such a strong start to it. I was touched by this story, I absolutely loved it. The story was romantic, emotional, and powerful. I will definitely be reading more of the series.

This was my first read by Melissa Storm (other than the books in the Book Cellar Mysteries, whichs she co-authors). I really enjoyed it! It moves a bit slower than I expected, and the plot isn't all that exciting, but I love the character development in this book, especially for Ben. Storm manages to deal with several heavy topics without bringing the reader down, and she lays a beautiful groundwork for the First Street Church romance series. I can't wait to read more stories from Sweet Grove!

I received a complimentary copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed Love's Prayer and am looking forward to reading Love's Promise. Ben has some real obstacles to overcome. Summer made a good match for him. I liked that the characters had faith but weren't perfect or immune to problems. It gave the story a realistic feel.

Love's Prayer is the first book of the First Street Church Romances. It's a sweet romance, but it also deals with a dark theme.

Ben and Summer are the two main characters. Summer is staying in the small town of Sweet Grove to run the flower shop while her aunt goes on a cruise she's saved for her entire life. Ben is a native of Sweet Grove, but he prefers to keep to himself because of an incident from his past. In fact, when the story starts, Ben is tired of his depressing life and is ready to end it all. That is until a flower delivery not meant for him shows up on his doorstep. When Ben returns the flowers to the little shop in town, he realizes that maybe his prayers have been answered.

I really enjoyed Love's Prayer. What started out as a sad story blossomed into a wonderful, beautiful romance that made me smile from ear to ear. I was rooting for Ben to find a light in the darkness from the moment I read the first word, and I was thrilled with how the book ended. I can't wait to read more about Ben and Summer, and see where their journey takes them.

If you love sweet romances with HEA-type endings, then you'll definitely want to pick up a copy of Love's Prayer ASAP. I definitely recommend it!
