A great introductory book, seemingly backed up by good science and history of the science. There's something in here for everyone, and Eagleman has a storytwlling quality to his writing that makes a good scientist a great science communicator.

This was a fascinating and sometimes slightly uncomfortable insight into how brains work and what makes us human. It's clearly and engagingly written and incredibly readable. I enjoyed it a lot, although there were a few areas where I would have liked slightly more detail.

Spannende Studien und Beispiele. Recht Oberflächlich, nur gut als Einstieg. 2te Buchhälfte wesentlich besser und interessanter, vorallem das letzte Kapitel.

Absolutely fascinating. A perfect read for anyone who wants to understand more about the most incredible organ in our bodies but doesn’t want to wrestle with the scientific jargon of typical neuroscience texts.
