4.5 stars. The male lead, Zharor, has been introduced in previous books in the series and the idea of female lead, Chrissy, as well - she is the twin sister of a female lead in another story. This one starts with him rescuing her from an enemy breeding facility and the instalust going from there. But Chrissy hasn’t been told about the cultural/biological difference as between them and misunderstands what he’s offering when they arrive on the planet her sister is on.
The story was dual POV, very well written, and I empathised with both characters. I especially appreciated Zharor’s willingness to be vulnerable and honest about the physical impacts of Chrissy’s choices on him. The character and relationship development was great and the interactions with secondary characters relevant and important.
